kid, 77, at lacrosse games yesterday. he played with the "A" team (I coach him on the "B" team) so this was the first chance I had to take photos. They got crushed, but they had a lot of fun. he loves the game, has no regrets about leaving baseball.

The kids and I went to the beach today but I got all sandy right away and was afraid to take my camera out of its case, so I came home and got my succulent next to the spot where I have my nightly glass of wine.
I don't have time for laundry; I'm trying to have a great life.

My family has been going to Long Beach Island, NJ in August for a week or two for the past 40+ years. We have always rented a house at the southern tip of the island, known locally as Holgate, but actually part of Long Beach Township. The bay and the beach are only about 0.25 - 0.5 miles apart.  We have stayed at this house for the past 8 years. Our kids and their cousins have a great time at the end of the summer, after camps and sports and work, and look forward to getting together for a while. The house has a huge deck on the roof and, usually after many gin and tonics and IPAs, I head up to shoot the sunsets, or sometimes go up to take morning shots. it is a wonderful place, no two sunsets are the same (as far as I am concerned).
