Tortiere or any meat pot pies.  Also quiche.  Anything savoury with a pie crust is like a punch in the gag reflex to me.

I'm working on brussel sprouts.  Not bad baked.  With bacon.  Boiled from frozen, however, are gross.

Oh heavens.  Don't boil the frozen. Just microwave till hot, butter, some Adobo and you're good to go.

I steam the Brussel sprouts then sautée for a minute or two in a pan with a little butter and salt. Yum.

there is nothing morally superior about frozen vegetables, so if you don't like one from frozen, that's okay

which reminds me, I avoid frozen brussel sprouts, frozen broccoli, frozen cauliflower, frozen carrots, frozen green beans, frozen asparagus, frozen summer squash... probably others that don't come to mind... the only vegetables I eat from frozen are peas, corn and lima/broad/fava beans.  I also avoid canned vegetables with exceptions for beans and pureed or strained tomatoes.

Yep, the only frozen veg we eat are peas, corn and edamame shelled. Growing up we pretty much only had canned vegetables. VOMIT.

I think my parents used to boil them.  I have never bought them myself.

I often shred mine first and then sauté them with onion, garlic in olive oil with a little salt.  Mine are vegan.  :)

For my husband the list is mushrooms, tomatoes, and all beans.

All three are things I love.

I particularly like frozen kale.  I find that fresh kale can be so variable, sometimes tasty, sometimes not.  Frozen kale always seems to be nicely sweet.

One can almost always find in my freezer:
Kale
Collard Greens
Spinach
Grilled Eggplant
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Brussels sprouts

It just makes it easier for me to get some veggies in quickly.  Throw them in the nuker and eat.

Black licorice.

I do love red licorice, I could eat strawberry twizzlers all day.

I also abhor tapioca pudding.

so adding to my list...romaine lettuce.  I have IBS.  When I was first diagnosed I discovered that romaine lettuce caused LOTS of problems.  I tried to incorporate it in my diet in small doses (small side salads while out...since it is just about the only damn lettuce restaurants use) and I was ok. I had a side salad yesterday...for the first time in over a year I was doubled over in pain...it was so painful my DH thought that I went into early labor (nope, just IBS rearing its ugly head.) So I will be avoiding it like the plague again (it is possible it was something else I ate, but it is the most likely culprit.)

I think I have to add raw onions to the list.  I think I have bad reactions to them.  Fructans?  I don't know.  Painful bloating.  Too bad, because I like raw onions.  It makes sense, since garlic takes me to pootville.

Red onions cause me serious GI distress as well.  I assume it is the oil. No idea.  White onions don't have the same affect,  but theN i also never eat white onions raw...so maybe cooking breaks something down? No idea.  I still eat small amounts of red onion bcz i like them and have found that small amounts are ok.  I would not be happy if I couldn't have garlic...love that stuff.

I just had "root beer float" flavored Oreo cookies.

I won't be buying them again.

I can't imagine a circumstance, aside from apocalypse, where I would think root beer float oreos were a good idea... :D
