But I'm not quitting my day job 

A good friend of mine who happens to be an awesome local photographer is entering a photo contest and needed models (no experience). So I offered because I've learned so much from him and I thought it would be awesome to be on the other side of his lens.

I'm bringing two dresses and makeup and jewelry to the shoot. It's going to be set in an antique shop in a funky part of town.

I'm not a model and I'm not going to pretend to be one or try to act like one. ANTM who?

Should be fun, I'll report back.

Awesome!  The only time I ever modeled was in a local hospital promo for their childbirth center.  I starred as the involved and supportive birth-daddy.  Yeah, that's me .  I can't tell you how many times I got stopped in public by people who saw that video.  On the street, at the mall, one time at a conference in Philadelphia.  It was pretty hilarious.  Good luck, and remember, this might be your crowning moment of celebrity!

Actually you're right! The guy who owns the shop was hilarious and bizarre. There's no heat or power so they run cords from the house next door. No clue who lives in the house, maybe the landlord, cause the guy kept running back and forth to get coffee. I can't even describe how hilarious this guy is. He was one of those, "Well I'm a sculpter. I do some open mic on the side. But I'm really an actor" types

I've done something similar and it is fun, if not nerve wracking.  For me, it was an aha! moment in learning how to pose people.  I hope you have a lot of fun and can share photos or a link when they're done.

Your eyes and hair - PERFECT for the vibe.  I love the facial expressions.
